Alte und sehr edle venezianische Familie mit Wohnsitz in Vicenza, genannt Burini oder Burin, die sich über die Jahrhunderte in verschiedenen Regionen Italiens ausbreitete. Autoritativen Ahnenforschern zufolge sollte der Ursprung dieser Erkenntnis in einer Modifikation des mittelalterlichen Namens "Borinus" gesucht werden, der wahrscheinlich einem inzwischen unbekannten Vorfahren gehörte, sicherlich aufgrund dialektaler Veränderungen und / oder handschriftlicher Überlieferungen. Auf jeden Fall hat es diese Familie in der Entfaltung ihres Glanzes immer geschafft, eine Reihe von Männern hervorzubringen, die seinen Namen im öffentlichen Dienst, in liberalen und kirchlichen Berufen und im Militärdienst berühmt gemacht haben.
