La antigua y noble familia Aversana de Nápoles, dice Mugnos, viniendo de ese Altomare por una Lucia Falconi, conocida como Caccabo, debido a que la villa Caccabo es una dote y como se dice en Caccamu siciliana, perteneciente a un caballero francés Gisberto Caccabo; haber estado en cierto Brandimo Altomare en matrimonio conjunto.
