A muito nobre família Scarampi do Cairo, no desdobramento dos lustres, foi dividida em muitos ramos, cujas cognominações, embora possuíssem uma matriz comum com o núcleo principal, diferiam parcialmente e assim se originaram as famílias Cairo, Caira, Cairi.
