I fratelli Leonardo e Pietro figli di Bernardino Caisello mercante in Caprino bergamasco, trasportata nel 1610 la loro residenza a Udine, vi continuarono a commerciare con buon esito, ottenendo ai 7 di luglio del 1620 la loro ascrizione alla cittadinanza popolare. Accumulate ingenti ricchezze, abbandonarono il commercio e fecero in Friuli grandi compere di terreni e di diritti giurisdizionali. Dapprima ebbero dalla Rep. Ven. mediante l'esborso di 9000 ducati e 200 staia di frumento la investitura della giurisdizione civile e criminale delle ville di Reana, Quals, Rizzolo, Vergnacco e Valle, col titolo di conti di Reana, trasmissibile ai loro discendenti maschi, e ciò con ducale 19 sett. 1647. Nel 1648 addì 30 luglio furono investiti della giurisdizione delle ville di Ribis, Feletto, Lumignacco e Cortello, offrendo allo Stato 5000 ducati, e l'anno seguente ai 19 luglio, per ducati 3000, di parte della giurisdizione di Colloredo di Prato.
