Giovan Maria conte dell'Impero nominato da Carlo V. Altro Giovanni Maria governatore di Ariano. Battista nel 1487 ebbe da Ferdinando I di Aragona i beni feudali di Belledona. Marcello, Cesare, Girolamo famosi giureconsulti. Carlo fu duca di Diano, march. di Villanova, di Ramonte e signore di Nocara e Canna. Questa famiglia fu ascritta in Napoli al sedile Capuano. Altro ramo. Antica e nobile famiglia originaria di Sicilia. Calaresu è specifico dell'Oltrepò pavese, e dovrebbe derivare dal cognomen latino Calatro di cui abbiamo un esempio nel I° secolo con il Duomviro Caius Sattio Calatro. la famiglia alzò per arma.
