Noble famille vénitienne, avec résidence dans la ville de Padoue, appelée Calbo ou Calbor, qui, selon certains chroniqueurs vénitiens, descendrait de ce doge Maurizio Galbaio ou Galonio, élu en 764, dont les descendants sont issus de nombreuses familles nobles, comme les Querini, les Canali et, en fait, les Calbo ou Calbor. Cette famille, originaire de Padoue, comme mentionné, a transféré sa résidence permanente à Venise en l'an 891. A la clôture du grand concile, en 1297, elle fut considérée parmi les patriciens et décrite dans le Livre d'or. Il a donné à sa patrie, à chaque époque, des sujets de grand mérite, tant dans les armes que dans les "bureaux" internes, qui occupaient les fonctions principales de sénateurs et de procureurs de San Marco. Il a été confirmé noble, avec la résolution souveraine du 11 novembre 1817, en la personne de Giovanni Marco, de feu Federico et de Caterina Maria
