La storia di questa famiglia è poco conosciuta e non si hanno molte notizie sul suo conto, per la ragione che quasi tutti i titoli pubblici ed altri furono distrutti in seguito alle guerre intestina che desolarono la Francia e portarono truppe da tutte le nazioni vicine; e diversi notai hanno, per questo motivo, solo i verbali della prima metà del XVIII secolo. Non potendo stabilire una filiazione continua per questa casata, ci troviamo costretti a produrre qui ciascuno dei suoi membri così come li abbiamo incontrati ricercando i titoli dove sono stati richiamati. Questa antica casata, che diverse fonti bibliografiche affermano essere di nobile origine, fornì nella carriera d'armi personaggi illustri. Tanti pezzi sono stati utilizzati per stilare la storia di questa famiglia e li abbiamo necessariamente dovuti restringere e accorciare molto.
