Família antiga de Bolonha, de onde parece que em 1415, Bartolomeo, filho de Mastro Antonio Calza, o transplantou para Verona. Não é certo que a família patrícia de mesmo nome tenha a mesma origem. Isso foi reconhecido em Verona na época dos Scaligeri e, em 1547, na época da reforma do nobre conselho, obteve sua agregação. Armas direitas: de azul, com o antebraço colocado em uma faixa vestida de vermelho, com chuvas de prata projetando-se de uma nuvem da mesma, movendo-se do lado esquerdo, a tez segurando a mão com uma xícara de ouro. Outro ramo. Sábio Gualperto, do Conselho Trivigiano, ancião e prefeito de Conegliano; Peter embaixador de sua terra natal no pontífice Alexandre IV; Ziraldo sábio de primeiro grau e depois dos idosos. Outro ramo. Giambattista comprou o vassalo Francesco-Antonio Carneri de uma porção de Costigliole di Saluzzo em 1793 com a aprovação do rei Vittorio-Amedeo III.
