Famiglia oriunda da Oneglia le cui memorie risalgono al sec. XVI. Capostipite della famiglia presente fu Ambrogio, da cui nacquero Agostino, Carlo, e Pietro. Agostno (dec. Oneglia 26 gennaio 1710) fu nobilitato il 28 giugno 1692 e il 23 aprile 1695 assieme ai fratelli Carlo e Pietro "per essersi distinti, con i loro figlioli, in tempo che Oneglia è stata attaccata dai nemici" con la clausola che le patenti "sortiscono il suo intiero effetto nonostante l'esercizio loro di negozianti". Figli di Agostino furono Ambrogio e Antonio. Ambrogio fu investito di Villa guardia il 13 aprile 1713 con titolo comitale. Questo ramo finì con Ettore (dec. 1844) maggiore, che dalle sue nozze con Maria Giuseppa di Villeneuve de Bargemont ebbe solo prole femminina. Da Antonio provenne il ramo nobiliare presente rappresentato da Edoardo (n. a Torino 20 maggio 1850) e da Ettore (n. a Torino 14 settembre 1861), figli di Nicola
