Diese Familie stammt von Everardo, dem letzten Sohn des schottischen Königs Duncano, aus dem die echte Stuard-Familie hervorging. Diese Linie des C., der diesen Namen von der C. Fehde übernahm, wurde von Karl II., Dem König von England, mit seinem Akt von 1683 und von Karl II., Dem König von Spanien, mit seinem Akt von 1688 anerkannt.
