Famiglia cagliaritana le cui notizie risalgono al secolo XVI. Apparteneva alla borghesia, nel 1617 ottenne il cavalierato ereditario e la nobiltà con il dottor Bonifacio, avvocato del braccio reale nel Parlamento del duca di Gandia. I suoi figli formarono tre rami della famiglia: Gavino, capitano ordinario, nel 1659 divenne reggente della tesoreria reale, si trasferì a Sassari, dove la sua discendenza si estinse alla fine del secolo XVII; Giovanni Francesco ed il dotttor Diego diedero vita ai rami cagliaritani della famiglia, i cui membri ricoprirono importanti uffici pubblici e si imparentarono con illustri famiglie. Nel secolo XVIII le condizioni economiche della famiglia decaddero e la sua importanza venne meno.
