Im Jahr 1122 wird Romanus Capoccius Rom in Cencio Camerario registriert. Konsul. Innocent IV im Jahr 1244 machte Card. Pietro Capoccio, römischer Adliger, zu einem Mann von großer Frömmigkeit und großem Wert, wie Ciaccone würdig von ihm spricht. Clemens XVI. Machte Kardinal Nicolò Capoccio von 1350, ähnlich wie Kard. Pietro in Tugend und Verdiensten. Monaldeschi schreibt in seinem Tagebuch unter dem Jahr 1328: "Ich bin ein deutscher Baron, der mit dem Kaiser in Rom geblieben war, eine Saviello-Verfassung gemacht hatte, und während sie in der Nähe von Santa Maria in der Via Lata krabbelten, kam Stefano Clievoello jung an mutig, Cicco Capoccia und Janni Capoccia kamen und sie machten einen großen Kampf und dunkle Muti Tedeschi ".
