Família nobre da qual uma praça em Roma ainda leva seu nome, onde ficava o magnífico palácio, hoje dos príncipes Spada. Não deve ser confundido com a família homônima de veronse. Eles são lembrados em muitos documentos cuja cav. Iacovacci. O mais antigo é de 1238. Os Capodiferro são sempre chamados Domínios Nobre. Girolamo Capodiferro, nascido em Roma em 22 de junho de 1502, era núncio em Portugal, depois na França, tesoureiro da Câmara Apostólica, bispo de Nice e finalmente cardeal em 19 de dezembro de 1544. Participou do Cancilio de Trento e morreu em 1559. A família Capodiferro é lembrado entre os nobres e ilustres cuja lista foi feita sob o pontificado do Papa Martino V. Deu os seguintes conservatórios: Ciriaco (1451), Evangelista (1459), Raimondo (1522-27-37), Domenico (1573) Maddaleno (1628). Outro ramo. Família das primárias de Verona na época dos Scaligeri.
