Alte und sehr edle Abruzzenfamilie mit Wohnsitz in L'Aquila, deren Mitglieder tapfer an den Kreuzzügen teilnahmen und Feudalherren der Burgen von Bagno, Caporciano, Coppito, Tussio, Sinizzo und San Nicandro waren. Zu Beginn des achtzehnten Jahrhunderts erhielt die Familie den Baronialtitel direkt auf San Nicandro. Darüber hinaus wurde es 1701 im Malteserorden zur Gerechtigkeit aufgenommen und dem Patrizier Aquilano zugeteilt, dessen Ehre es bis zur allgemeinen Abschaffung der Sitze genoss. Diese berühmte Familie hat Verwandtschaft mit anderen Adelsfamilien von Navelli wie den Baronen Francesconi und den Lords Mancini geschlossen und hatte auch das "Jus Patronato" von zwei Altären in der Kirche von San Sebastiano. Darüber hinaus gelang es der Familie im Laufe der Jahrhunderte immer, sich dank der hohen Charaktere, die er zur Welt brachte, hervorzuheben.
