Der gebürtige Neapolitaner, aus dem er zur Zeit der Fraktionen der Angevins und der Aragoneser ausgewandert war, ließ sich in Mantua nieder, wo er mehrmals die Ehre der Toga erlangte. Anschließend ließ er sich mit einem Cesare in Guastallese nieder, der das Kaufprivileg von der Familie Gonzaga erhielt. Perseus, ein Anwalt und angesehener Dichter, hatte 1630 das Bistum Larino. Ein anderer Perseus, Gouverneur von Guastalla, wurde 1678 vom Herzog von Mantua mit dem Titel comitale ausgezeichnet. Sein Sohn Francesco war auch Gouverneur von Guastalla. Ein Filippo war größer als die modenischen Milizen und Kommandeur der Festung von Sestola. Familienmotto: Opes Fugit Ospital. Anderer Zweig. Ursprünglich aus Pavia. Paolo war der Proto-Sanitäter der Herzöge Guglielmo und Vincenzo von Mantua.
