Oriundi di Spagna, poi in Valenza Po, dove fondarono una dotazione pia detta la Rosiera. Vi era governatore, all'epoca della dominazione spagnola, il capitano Gabriele morto il 13 ottobre 1644. Non è noto l'attacco genealogico, ma certo è dello stesso ceppo di costui il ramo comitale che fu investito di Valeggio il 19 settembre 1733 nella persona di Giovanni Francesco. Era suo nipote ex-filio il conte Francesco (nato Valenza 17 novembre 1763, dec. Valenza, 9 marzo 1835) che fu riformatore delle scuole (9 febbraio 1798) e, al tempo francese, consigliere di prefettura e presidente del cantone di Valenza. Il figlio del conte Francesco di nome Lorenzo (nato Valenza 27 novembre 1791; dec. 12 agosto 1863) fu senatore del regno (4 aprile 1848) e padre del conte Gerolamo (nato Valenza 13 dicembre 1818; dec. Roma 20 febbraio 1896) che segretario di legazione e gentiluomo di corte, fu privato del titolo per
