Familia originaria de Varallo, luego en Turín a Moncalieri y Saboya. Las líneas de los Condes de Brandizzo y los Condes de Bassy (Saboya) están extintas. Sobrevive la línea de cuentas de Roccastello, cuyo ataque genealógico con las líneas anteriores es desconocido; pero en 1826 se confirmó la prueba de que participaron en la transacción de varias líneas con el conde de Bassy.
