Antica famiglia decurionale pavese confermata nell'appartenenza al consiglio generale della città in occasione della riforma ordinata da Carlo V. E' degno di essere ricordato Giovanni Luigi, giureconsulto e lettore di diritto civile nel 1443-44. Luigi e Camillo vennero confermati nell'antica nobiltà con sovrana risoluzione 28 gennaio 1817. Una diramazione milanese della famiglia ebbe in feudo Merone, nelle pieve d'Incino, e vi appoggiò il titolo comitale ottenuto con diploma 7 novembre 1761 dall'imperatore Carlo VI. Estinto questo ramo, il titolo comitale venne rinnovato con Regio Decreto 1865 a Gian Giuseppe con trasmissione primogeniale maschile. I discendenti suoi iscritti nell'Elenco ufficiale coi titoli di: patrizio di Pavia, per m. conte, per mpr.; trattamento di Don e Donna. La famiglia vestì l'abito di Malta.
