Familie Sassari, deren Nachrichten aus dem XIV. Jahrhundert stammen. 1430 erhielt ein Nicolò die erbliche Ritterschaft, 1442 erhielt sein Sohn Pietro die Anerkennung des großzügigen Adels für seine militärischen Verdienste. Die Bedeutung der Familie wuchs mit seinem Neffen, einem anderen Pietro, der 1527 Osilo gegen die Doria verteidigte; Er war Prokurator des Grafen von Oliva und heiratete Erilla Manca di Thiesi. Seine Söhne gebar zwei verschiedene Zweige der Familie: Gaspare erbte die Herrschaft von Thiesi von seiner Mutter und war Rektor von Romangia. 1554 erhielt sein Sohn, ein anderer Pietro, weitere Anerkennung des Adels. Jahrhundert wiederholt das Amt des Feldmeisters von Sassari innehatten.
