Famiglia di Parma della quale si trovano notizie verso la metá del secolo XVII. Il 22 dicembre 1648 i fratelli Giacomo Antonio, Bartolomeo e G. Maria ottennero di essere ascritti alla cittadinanza parmense. Il 26 ottobre 1669 Cesare Carrabba fu eletto commissario podestá delle Ferriere; un Felice, teologo ducale, nel 1700 era arciprete di Basilicanova. I fratelli Giulio, Sigismondo e Francesco con Privilegio 12 agosto 1695 del Duca Francesco Farnese furono creati Nobili coi loro discendenti d'ambo i sessi, Privilegio registrato negli atti del Comune l'8 aprile 1700. Il predetto Giulio con Diploma 20 agosto 1709 fu creato Cavaliere; un Giacomo il 30 gennaio 1795 ottenne patente di capitano in ritiro. Appartenne a questa famiglia Giuseppe, nato 15 febbraio 1766, morto il 31 maggio 1841, celebre professore di scultura all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Parma e autore di quattro grandi statue ornamentali del Ponte sul Taro e di altre pregevoli
