Alte und sehr edle Familie von Ferrara, von klarer und überlieferter Tugend, mit auffälligen Siedlungen auf dem Gebiet von Reggio Emilia, das sich über die Jahrhunderte in verschiedenen Regionen Italiens ausgebreitet hat. Zu Hause war dieses Haus so wichtig, dass es der Straße "dei Carri" ihren Namen gab. Der erste Charakter, über den wir historische Informationen haben, ist ein Bartholomäus, ein herzoglicher und allgemeiner Faktor von Borso I und Herkules II. Andererseits hat diese Familie es in der Entfaltung ihres Glanzes immer geschafft, eine Reihe von Männern hervorzubringen, die ihren Namen in der öffentlichen Beschäftigung, in liberalen und kirchlichen Berufen und im Militärdienst berühmt gemacht haben. Unter diesen befinden sich: Lodovico-Philosoph und angesehener Arzt, Reformer der Universität von Ferrara; Michele Maler und Dekorateur, blühend im fünfzehnten Jahrhundert; Alfonso Arzt und Philosoph, blühte im siebzehnten Jahrhundert. Unter den berühmten Persönlichkeiten, die diesen Nachnamen brachten, erinnern wir uns auch an Alfeo Carri
