Alte ligurische Familie von klarer und überlieferter Tugend, bekannt als Casaretto oder Casarotti, ursprünglich aus Chiavari, aber 1477 mit einem Antonio nach Genua übergegangen, das sich dann über die Jahrhunderte in verschiedene Regionen Italiens ausbreitete.
