Neapolitan family from Spain, also related to the Moretti family of Tuscany, of ancient and noble tradition, which has spread over the centuries in different regions of Italy. The original cognominization, Cascón or Cascònes, prior to the XIV century, became, through modifications of historical phonetics, Cascone in the XVIII century in Italy and also in Spain. The weapon of this family was present in the campaigns against the Turks in 1302, so much so that the Cascone seem to be mentioned in the victories of Artaki (October 1302) and Monte Tauro (15 August 1304). A Giovanni was a field master with the troops of Luis de Requesens y Zúñiga in 1548. In Italy the Cascone are mainly remembered in contracts for the sale of land and houses, from which it appears that they were of a comfortable and noble condition.
