Ancient and very noble Emilian family from Bologna, called Castagnoli or Castagnuolo Maggiore, has spread over the centuries in various regions of Italy. In the fourteenth century it had several notaries, doctors and elders. Weapon: Blue, with chestnut fruit bearing natural terraced with green, accompanied in the sides by two R. of red, crowned with gold; with the head of Anjou. Another family.
