Famille originaire de Giorgio, dernier despote d'Albanie. L'arbre généalogique de cette famille en tant que descendant dudit Giorgio, a été authentifié par le Commissaire Royal du Conseil Héraldique, avec l'approbation du Président du Conseil des Ministres, le 3 février 1910. Elle jouissait de la noblesse à Amalfi et était inscrite à le patriciat vénitien. Il portait l'habit de Malte à partir de 1561. Il fut inféodé de S. Demetrio, S. Cosmo et Macchia et décoré, par succession de la famille De Gennaro, du titre de marquis d'Auletta, initialement accordé à la famille Vitilio en 1714. Il est inscrit au Livre d'Or nob. Italien et dans la liste officielle avec le titre de marquis d'Auletta (mpr.) et pred. de S. Angelo alle Fratte (mf.). Cette famille est représentée par le marquis Francesco, né à Naples le 7 juin 1875, fils de Giovanni (né à Naples le 11 février 1847, 22 décembre
