Un Clemente C. era stato tratto per l'Anzianato a Pisa nel 1500, e Giovan Battista, di Leonardo, era risieduto tra i Priori nel 1620, e per ciò la Deputazione sopra la Nobiltà e la Cittadinanza in Toscana aveva un Decreto 9 settembre 1754 ammesso alla Nobiltà Pisana la loro famiglia, che Alderano Cybo, Duca di Massa e Carrara, aveva decorata del titolo di Conte palatino in persona di Giovanni, di Giacinto C. A norma quindi della legge nobiliare toscana l'avv. Giovan Battista (n. 5 giugno 1822) e Carlo (n. 30 settembre 1826), figli di Giacinto Pietro C. e di Giovanna del cav. priore Vincenzo Tonini, chiesero il passaggio alla classe del Patriziato Pisano, che fu loro concesso con Rescritto granducale 25 settembre 1856, insieme coll'autorizzazione di aggiungere al proprio il cognome e stemma della famiglia pisana Boezi, assumendone il titolo Comitale concesso nel 1341 dall'Imperatore greco Giovanni paleologo a

Inquartato: nel 1° e 4° di rosso, a due pali diminuiti d'oro convergenti verso la punta, e racchiudenti in capo un crescente montante d'argento ; nel 2° e 3° d'argento, al leone di rosso coronato d'oro, caricato sulla spalla di uno scudetto di Francia, e al capo partito di rosso e d'oro, caricato dell'aquila bicipite spiegata e coronata sulle due teste, attraversante e partita d'oro e di nero.

Nel 2° e 3° punto dell'inquartato è lo stemma della famiglia Boezi (cfr. fasc. 5188), per eredità dell'ultima di quella famiglia, Fortunata Boezi, sposata nel 1708 a Leonardo Catanti (con autorizzazione del 1856, per l'unione dei cognomi e degli stemmi). Note: il capo partito fa riferimento a una concessione dell'imperatore d'Oriente Giovanni V Paleologo (1341), confermata dall'imperatore Massimiliano I (1499).
