Ancient and noble family of Ancona where its members were found to have held the main offices since 1365. He then moved to Cingoli and here in about 1500 he was ascribed to that nobility making himself worthy of the new homeland. Many illustrious characters came out and some well-known writers including in 1550 Gaspare IVD author of famous works, and other brave warriors. Six were bishops and two knights of Malta. That monsignor belonged to this house, who in 1870 was archbishop of Spoleto and Adana in partibus, and first in 1764 Gio. Francesco was bishop of Alatri. Branches of the family carried the surnames of Spadoni, Mucciolanti, Agliata. Today the family is divided into three branches, of which the first and third with descent; the second in the process of becoming extinct as there is only one female who entered the Puccianti house.
