Antica ed assai nobile famiglia piemontese da Alessandria. Giulio Reischio, il quale fu adottato per figlio da Giulio C. nel 1612, è lo stipite di questa famiglia, la quel ebbe il titolo comitale in persona di Lorenzo figlio del decurione alessandrino Cristoforo e di Eleonora Roberti la quale era stata investita di porzioni di Cuccaro l'11 settembre 1781. Lorenzo (dec. 7 gennaio 1807) che fu investito di Cuccaro il 3 giugno 1797, sposò Irene Aribaldi Ghilini, ed ebbe numerosa prole, e fra gli altri Giulio che fu il primo Sindaco di Alessandria e giurò coi nobili nel 1822, e Giovanni Mercurino (n. Alessandria 4 gennaio 1774). Quest'ultimo che fu maggior generale e governatore di Novara nel 1831, procreò Lorenzo (n. Alessandria 4 dicembre 1814, dec. 14 febbraio 1893) che fu capitano di cavalleria. Da costui discese il conte Giulio (n. Alessandria 5 luglio 1850, dec. Castelletto Scazzoso 11 gennaio 1876),
