Famiglia feudale valenzana un cui ramo si trasferì in Sardegna nel 1409 con un Bernardo che seguì il re Martino nella sua spedizione. Nel 1421 egli fu nominato vicerè ed ottenne da Alfonso V le signorie del Marghine, di Monte Acuto, di Osilo, del Meilogu e dell'Anglona. Suo figlio Francesco Gilbereto, nel 1438, cedette una parte della baronia di Osilo a suo genero Angelo Cano. Nel 1439 vendette il Marghine e Macomer a Salvatore Cubello, altro suo genero, nel 1442 le signorie di Siligo e Banari a Cristoforo Manno e la signoria della curatoria di Oppia a Francesco Saba. Fu un uomo politico di rilievo e venne autorizzato a fare guerra da corsa con navi di sua proprietà, prendendo come base Alghero. Nel 1447 recuperò la baronia di Osilo dai Cano. Questo ramo si estinse nel secolo XVI con una Maddalena, che sposò il duca di Gandia e gli portò
