Antica e nobile famiglia piemontese, detta Cereda, i cui membri furono fregiati del titolo di Conti di Bonvillaret. Inoltre, tal casato, sempre si distinse per gli illustri personaggi, a cui diede i natali. Tra questi, ricordiamo: Angelo, Sacerdote, della Milizia dei Cavalieri Gaudenti, Commendatario di S. Pietro e della Misericordia, vivente nel 1364, in Vicenza; Marco Antonio, piacentino, dei nobili Antonio e Giustina, fiorito agli albori del XV secolo, autore, al dir di Maria Corti, del "Somnium Delphili", ossia un poemetto di 2500 versi in terza rima, preceduto da un'introduzione latina e raccolto nel C 20 inf. della Biblioteca Ambrosiana, di Milano; Pacifico, nato nella diocesi di Novara, il quale si segnalò nell'ordine di S.
