Le Vicomte de Montravel nous donne cette famille comme bourgeoise et habitant Joyeuse. François de la Rossière épousa Marguerite, de Mayres, qui hommagea, le 31 janvier 1461, devant Boisson, notaire, au baron de Montlaur, ce qu'elle possédait à Mayres. Le 13 décembre 1702. Messire Antoine, curé de Rosières, est présent au baptême de Mathieu Grilhon, fils de Barthélemy, notaire royal. Le 25 février 1727. Messire François, seigneur de Pugnères, avocat en Parlement, conseiller du Roi, juge régent au sénéchal ducal de Joyeuse, fils de MAthieu et d'Anne Vielfaure, épousa Marie-Madeleine de Gigord. Leur fils, François, seigneurs de Pugnères, épousa Marie-Henriette Odde de La Tour du Villard, fille de Jean-Antoine, lieutenant au régiment de Bourbonnais, et de Suzanne de Rajon du Prat.
