Chellino di Bonaiuto di Pogna, castello ora distrutto in Valdelsa, fu il capo stipite dei Chellini. Boccaccio suo figlio, fu dei Priori nel 1322, maestro di zecca nel 1345 e console dell'annona nel 1347. Appartiene a questa famiglia il celebre novellista Giovanni Boccaccio. Altro ramo. Antonio, vissuto nel 1500, accreditato giurista, fu ambasciatore a diverse corti d'Italia e molto accetto a Lorenzo dei Medici duca di Urbino. Di questa famiglia non si hanno più notizie. Altra famiglia alzò per arma. D'azzurro, al monte di tre cime d'oro, sormontato da un liocorno nascente d'argento; col capo dello stesso caricato di due stelle di sei raggi di rosso, sostenuto da una fascia d'oro.
