Fatti cittadini pistoiesi nel 1556. Spenti nei Baldinotti. Capostipite certo di questa famiglia fu Daniele di Boffolo, che fissò la sua dimora in Pistoia nel sec. XIV. Da lui discende Marc'Antonio di Alberico, cavaliere dello Speron d'oro e primo ministro di Niccolò d'Este, per il quale trattò la pace del 1414. Scipione di Antonio condusse le truppe pontificie di Pio II nell'impresa di Fano. Baldinotto, signore di Poggio a Caiano, cospirò contro Lorenzo il Magnifico, rimettendoci la vita. Vestirono l'abito di Malta fino dal 1622; furono ascritti al Patriziato di Pistoia con decreto del 21 luglio 1755.
