Famiglia antica è ricordata dalla seconda metà del secolo XVI. La sua nobiltà di Vicenza. Per le sue benemerenze verso la Rep. Ven., il Senato con decreto 11 giugno 1549 le concesse il titolo di conte, annettendolo allo stabile della Fribia eretto in feudo. Nel 1732 Girolamo e Giovanni di Simandio vennero iscritti nell'A.L.T. L'imperatore Federico con diploma 2 giugno 1452 creò conte palatino Chieregino con tutti i suoi discendenti. Un ramo di questa famiglia aggiunse il nome Salvioni per conseguita eredità. Ebbe la conferma della nobiltà con S.R.A. 4 giugno 1820 ed il riconoscimento dei titoli di nobile mf. e conte m. con D.M. 22 ottobre 1915. Figli di Giovanni Enea e di Elisabetta Biego dei conti di Costabissara: 1. Gabriele Giuseppe, gr. cr. della Cor. d'Italia, gr. uff. Mauriziano e della Legione d'onore, n. Vicenza, 8 aprile 1861, spos. nov. 1888 con Maria Antonietta dei co. Cesarei Rossi
