Altro ramo della famiglia, che si divise in più linee alla fine del XV secolo. Da Mariano, padre del Magnifico Agostino e di quel Francesco che fu autore della linea dei Patrizi di Montorio, nacque Gismondo, che completò la magnifica villa delle Volte. Qui egli ricevette il papa Giulio II, che nel 1502 gli concesse di poter inquartare nello stemma la rovere d'oro. Gismondo portò a compimento anche il palazzo di via Casato in Siena ed ebbe incarichi onorifici, fra cui nel 1522, un'ambasceria al sommo Pontefice. Dei figli di Gismondo Pandolfo seguì la carriera ecclesiastica, divenendo vescovo di Cavaillon, mentre il fratello Mario, appassionato della caccia e dei cavalli, visse quasi sempre sulle sue terre, dove fu famoso per la fastova ospitalità.
