Family that flourished in Florence until the fifteenth century giving magistrates in various orders of that city. In 1627 we find one of this Consul family of the Florentines in Rome, Luca Antonio was a knight of Malta in 1674, who however having remained without brothers withdrew, with the Pope's dispensation, from the Order in 1684 and married Giulia Baccelli. An Antonio was Conservator of Rome in 1785 and 1791. This family was admitted to the Roman nobility with Senatus Consulto of 24 December 1756 at the request of the brothers Filippo and Boninsegno. Such are the principles, which the above mentioned Authors gave themselves to this family, but to be this fact very remote, and of very distant history, we therefore leave it to more erudite than sacred antiquities, and of history to invest its certain principle .
