Antichissima ed originaria della Persia, venuta in Venezia aggiunse all'antico cognme quello di Dal Bianco, perchè un Bernardo figlio di Giovanni Ciera e di Elena Soranzo, viventi nel 1450, tenne solo il pubblico Banco della città per lo spazio di 20 anni continui. Agostino figlio di detto Bernardo nel 1451 chiese a Federico III imperatore di essere aggregato mercè i suoi autorevoli uffici all'ordine patrizio; ma si ebbe una dura repulsa, e gli fu proibito di accostarsi a sua Maestà. Il motivo fu perchè Agostino era stato poco delicato nell'esrcizio del Banco, che gli fu tolto dal governo della repubblica, e condannato a pagare i suoi creditori e tremila ducati di pena agli Avvogadori, e più tardi chiamato a Roma da Sisto IV fu da lui creato Protonotario apostolico dei Partecianti e poco dopo fu mandato Nunzio a Venezia. Appartengono a questa casa un Jacopo che fu Vescovo di Corone
