Formerly called Paganini, when they settled in Brescia, in the old Citadel, at the beginning of the fifteenth century, they were designated with the name of the country of origin "de Cegulis" or Cigole, in the Brescia plain. Onofrio thus appears in the estimates from 1430 to 1442 and so on, after his son Nicola (living 1475), until the last century, in which they died out, always registered with the General Council of Nobility.
