Família nobre, extinta por volta de 1696. O comendador GB de Crollalanza relata o brasão desta família nos volumes de seu histórico dicionário de brasões de famílias italianas nobres e notáveis. Esta nobre família, como observou Giovan-Pietro Crescenzi Romani, em sua "Coroa da nobreza da Itália, ou compêndio das histórias de famílias ilustres", impressa em Bolonha por Tebaldini, era originária do Piemonte, para aprender os altos cargos e títulos que ela possuía em várias cidades. Bastante disputadas foram as notícias de sua origem e a Crollalanza em seu Anuário da nobreza italiana (ano de 1889), relata que os estudos mais modernos em torno desta casa modificaram individualmente as opiniões prevalecentes por trás da leitura de historiadores antigos da região de Friul.
