À partir d'anciens documents publics, il existe des preuves claires de l'ancienne noblesse de cette famille. Le premier de ces documents dont nous gardons quelque souvenir remonte au Xe siècle ; on y lit que l'investiture de diverses terres a été accordée aux De'Cinque. Les membres de cette famille ont figuré de tout temps dans les magistrats civiques et il faudrait longtemps pour s'en souvenir, il suffit de citer un Antonio et un Vello qui comme conseillers capitolins intervinrent dans le fameux acte de concorde entre le pape Innocent VII (de Migliorati dal 1404 à 1406) et le peuple romain ; a Vincenzo en 1416 était prieur des Caporioni, un honneur que Nicolò avait également, qui devint plus tard maire du Sénat en 1552. Giovan Paolo était prieur de'Caporioni et colonel de la milice des querelles du Sénat et du peuple romain. Ferdinand fils du premier fut plusieurs fois Conservateur
