Godette nobiltà in Trapani e in Monte S. Giuliano. Un Berto fu giurato in questa ultima città nel 1451-52; un Teseo vi tenne la stessa carica nel 1556; un Antonio fu senatore di Trapani nel 1683-84; un Angelo tenne detta carica nella stessa città nel 1697-98, 1704-5; un Francesco la tenne nel 1769-70. La nobiltà di questa famiglia venne riconosciuta nel 1834 dalla R. Commissione dei titoli e Nobiltà del regno delle Due Sicilie. Altro ramo. La città del Monte Erice, hoggi detta di San Giuliano, fù ne' tempi antichi assai ricca di famiglie nobili, e ciò avvenne così per la falubrità dell'aria, come del grosso tenitorio, ch'ella possedeva. Dona chiarezza di ciò un privilegio dell'Imperador Federico II dato nel 1241 à favor dell'Università, per il quale se gli dona molti Casali disabitati, fra i quali si leggono il Casale di Curto, quei di Scupello, di Farginisi, e di Rapalgimi,
