Die ersten Erinnerungen an diese berühmte Familie gehen auf einen Antonio zurück, Portulano von Salerno in der Sek. XIII. Und einem Petrus, der zusammen mit anderen Adligen von Bitonto König Karl I. von Anjou Geld verlieh. Feudalismus seit Beginn des Jahrhunderts. XV, genoss Adel in Bitonto, Capua, Benevento und Lucera. In Neapel wurde es 1788 in den Sitz von Portanova eingeschrieben. Sie trug das Kleid von Malta aus dem Jahr 1595. Es wurde von König Charles von Bourbon mit dem Titel Marquis in der Person von Baldassarre geschmückt, ein Titel, der zugunsten seines Neffen Charles verliehen wurde mit königlicher Zustimmung in den Lehen von Torrecuso und Torrepalazzo registriert. Im Titel und Besitz der Lehen wurde Carlo von seinem Sohn Michele abgelöst, der 1804 starb. Die älteste Linie dieser Familie.
