Antigua y muy noble familia veneciana originaria de Lombardía establecida en Verona desde el siglo XV llamada Clusona o Clusone. El apellido, muy antiguo, es un toponímico derivado de la tierra de Clusone. U Baldassarre que vivía en 1489 fue adornado con el título de Conde por el emperador Federico. En 1510 un Luigi premiado por los venecianos por su lealtad, y una placa sepulcral fechada en 1541 conmemoraba al noble y valiente capitán y conde Jacopo Clusoni. En 1517 esta casa fue agregada al noble Consejo, desde 1647 ya no se tienen noticias de la rama original de la familia, hoy en día florecen diversas ramas familiares repartidas en diferentes regiones del mundo.
