Ancienne et très noble famille vénitienne originaire de Lombardie installée à Vérone depuis le XVe siècle appelée Clusona ou Clusone. Le patronyme, très ancien, est un toponyme dérivé du pays de Clusone. U Baldassarre vivant en 1489 fut décoré du titre de comte par Frédéric l'empereur. En 1510, un Luigi récompensé par les Vénitiens pour sa loyauté et une plaque sépulcrale datée de 1541 commémoraient le noble et vaillant capitaine et comte Jacopo Clusoni. En 1517 cette maison fut agrégée au Conseil noble, depuis 1647 il n'y a plus de nouvelles de la branche originelle de la famille, de nos jours fleurissent diverses branches familiales réparties dans différentes régions du monde.
