Un Simone, da Lodi, vivente nel sec. XIV è il capostipite di questa famiglia, cui spetta il titolo di nobile di Ferrara, avendo fatto parte del 2° ordine di quel Consiglio centumvirale Annibale, notaio, nei trienni dal 1652, dal 58, dal 64 e dal 70; Lorenzo nel triennio dal 1730; Romualdo nei trienni dal 1760, dal 66 e dal 72; Giuseppe, dottore, in quelli dal 1787 e dal 93. Fra i ventitre cittadini chiamati nel 1442 dal marchese Leonello d'Este a dar parere, insieme ai dodici Savi, sulla riforma dello Studio di Ferrara si trova un Nicolò; un altro Nicolò fu, con Nicolò Maria Ariosti, fattore generale ducale dal 1533 al 40. Girolamo è detto nella lapide sepolcrale causidico celeberrimo; Nicola, sacerdote, diede alle stampe un panegirico di S. Camillo de Lellis nel 1765 e alcune poesie.
