Questo casato di origine bergamasca, facente parte delle numerose famiglie emigrate nei secoli XV e XVI in tutta Italia da Lucatello, grossa borgata in quel di Bergamo, passò nel goriziano con un Andrea, che, nato circa il 1570 nel paese d'origine, risulta abitante nel 1639 a Gorizia nel borgo di S. Rocco. Dei figli di questo, Paolo, nato nel Bergamasco nel 1595, fu nobilitato dall'imperatore Leopoldo nel 1679 ai 21 di aprile, e diede origine ad un ramo della famiglia, che si spense con un Giuseppe Cristiano ai primi del secolo passato; Domenico, nato pure a Lucatello nel 1597, propagò nel Goriziano il ramo che ancora vi fiorisce. Gio Battista, figlio di questo, fu nobilitato assieme allo zio Paolo col citato diploma ed il fratello suo Pietro Antonio, cittadino e mercante in Lubiana, ottenne eguale diploma dall'imper. Leopoldo I in data 1688 addì 2 dic. Lo stesso nel 1698 fu
