Famiglia di antica aggregazione al cessato Consiglio nobile della regia Città di Vicenza. Ottenne la conferma di tale sua nobiltà con Sovrana Risoluzione primo marzo 1820. Si ricordano: Carlo del fu Girolamo; i di lui figli: Girolamo, Alessandro, (Sacerdote); Gaetano, Giovanni Fancesco. Famiglia assai antica e nobile. Annovera questa illustre casata personaggi di elevate virtù. Tra gl'antichi Cavalieri che anticamente nella militar disciplina fiorirono. Fu costume delle più antiche famiglie, le quali dopo la caduta del Romano Imperio, in quella inondatione de' Barbari, havendo i loro cognomi, sicome gli studi, e altre cose belle smarrito e restati solo con semplici nomi, trarre di nuovo i loro cognomi, e il loro casato da' nomi propri paterni, e de' maggiori. Tali sono i principii, che da sopracitati Autori si diedero a questa famiglia, ma per esser questo fatto assai remoto, e d'historia molto lontana, lasciamo perciò a più eruditi delle sacre antichità,
