Família antiga de origem germânica, historicamente conhecida desde o século X, contada pelo historiador Bonifazio entre as 57 famílias feudais da Marca Trevigiana. Senhora de C. e outros castelos do sopé de Treviso. Venceu por Ezzelino da Romano em 1234, mudou-se para Asolo, cuja nobreza era atribuída. Deu personalidades ilustres, jurisconsultos (Gualperto em 1200), cientistas, homens de armas, prelados distintos embaixadores da República Veneziana, tendo a confirmação da nobreza com o SRA em 14 de julho de 1820. Os três ramos seguintes, derivados de Giovanni di Giuseppe Bartolomeo e Teresa Calvi e representados por seus filhos: 1. comm. Giuseppe, n. Asolo, 16 de abril de 1830, meritório, patriota e magistrado, decorado com ordens cavalheirescas, cidadão honorário de Urbino, participou da defesa de Veneza em 1848-49
