Iniciado por GB di Crollalanza e continuado depois por seu filho Goffredo, o anuário da nobreza italiana com o dicionário histórico blasonic de famílias nobres italianas faz menção a essa ilustre família, originalmente do Piemonte. Essa linhagem aparece com grande esplendor entre a nobreza piemontesa, cujos ancestrais, que já haviam chegado ao Piemonte muitos séculos antes, descendem, com sua reputação preparada, de sua estrada honrada, entre as principais dignidades da pátria. O advogado-geral de Gaspare e o primeiro presidente do Tribunal de Turim obtiveram em 1818 a dignidade da comunidade que poderia ser transmitida ao seu genro Cav. Ferdinando Prat, major-general, e morreu em 1853. O brasão da família Coller é: D'azzurro, com a palma de nudrita dourada na planície gramada natural.
