Alte und sehr berühmte Familie von Alexandria, deren erste bestimmte historische Informationen bis ins zehnte vierte Jahrhundert zurückreichen. Die erste Figur, von der es Neuigkeiten gibt, ist eine Emanuele, alexandrinische Dekurion in den Jahren 1393 und 1396. Ambrogio wurde von ihm geboren, Dekurion 1414, Vater von Giacomo, Domenico, di Bandolino, Autor einer anderen fertigen Linie, und Arpino, der 1428 in Rom starb, nachdem er Erzdiakon von Alexandria, Abt von S. Pietro, Provost von S. Romualdo in Malines, von S. Donato in Genua, Referendum über die doppelte Unterschrift, geheimer Kellner und Sekretär des Denkmäler. Er war der Urenkel des zuvor erwähnten Giacomo, der Dekurion Castellino, der 1530 starb und von einem kaiserlichen Soldaten einen der im berühmten Sack Roms (1527) gestohlenen Heiligen Dornen geborgen hatte und der heute in der Kathedrale von Alessandria verehrt wird.
